About SARI AHOKAINEN

Sari Ahokainen is a Finnish designer born in 1977. Her formal education is in human sciences but a few years back she found her true passion in designing. Now she works for companies worldwide creating fun, funky, simple yet strong designs for different products – stationery, gifts, textiles and more. Sari likes to look at her environment from different angles and find new approaches even to the most basic daily things. When it comes to art Sari sees no rules or limits.

Sari Ahokainen on vuonna 1977 syntynyt suomalainen suunnittelija. Hän on opiskellut ihmistieteitä, mutta muutama vuosi sitten löytänyt todellisen intohimonsa suunnittelun parista. Tällä hetkellä hän työskentelee eri yrityksille ympäri maailman luoden hauskoja, trendikkäitä ja yksinkertaisen voimakkaita kuoseja erilaisiin tuotteisiin – paperitavaroihin, lahjoihin, tekstiileihin jne. Sari haluaa tarkkailla ympäristöään eri näkökulmista ja löytää uusia lähestymistapoja päivittäisiinkin asioihin. Kun on kyse taiteesta, Sari ei näe sääntöjä taikka rajoja.

Excellent Service and Products
I wanted to reserve a carpet as I was abroad when I made my choice and there was only 1 left. I was able to telephone and speak to a very helpful lady who arranged for the carpet to be delivered 2 days after my return 3 weeks later. A week later, I chose another one with a 10% further discount for buying again and that arrived promptly also after another discussion with another helpful lady. I now have 2 fabulous rugs at a very decent price. Yes, the 'Handloom Fringe' carpet is shedding where one sits but I well remember a fitted carpet shedding for 6 months prior to stopping. So I hope it will stop eventually. DPD deliver promptly.
