About Hartmut Schirrmacher

Merlin Flu (original name: Hartmut Schirrmacher) was born 1948 in Lörrach, Germany - lives and works in Schleiden near Cologne. Since his childhood, he is fascinated by painting.
He studied visual communication, graphic & design in Münster and works since 1978 as a freelance artist. His oeuvre of sensuous colors and figures includes watercolors, acrylic and coffeeburned paintings, illustrations, objects and sculptures in expressionistic style. His artistic work has been exhibited throughout Europe and is represented in private and public collections.

Merlin Flu (bürgerl. Name: Hartmut Schirrmacher) geb. 1948 in Lörrach, Deutschland,
lebt und arbeitet in Schleiden bei Köln. Seit seiner Kindheit fasziniert ihn die Malerei.
Er studierte visuelle Kommunikation, Grafik & Design in Münster und arbeitet seit 1978 als freischaffender Künstler. Die Werkspalette sinnlicher Farben und Formen umfasst Aquarelle, Acryl- und Kaffeebrandgemälde, Illustrationen, Objekte und Skulpturen in figurativ-expressionistischem Stil. Seine Arbeiten wurden europaweit ausgestellt und sind in privaten und öffentlichen Sammlungen vertreten.

Excellent Service and Products
I wanted to reserve a carpet as I was abroad when I made my choice and there was only 1 left. I was able to telephone and speak to a very helpful lady who arranged for the carpet to be delivered 2 days after my return 3 weeks later. A week later, I chose another one with a 10% further discount for buying again and that arrived promptly also after another discussion with another helpful lady. I now have 2 fabulous rugs at a very decent price. Yes, the 'Handloom Fringe' carpet is shedding where one sits but I well remember a fitted carpet shedding for 6 months prior to stopping. So I hope it will stop eventually. DPD deliver promptly.
