CarpetVista review

4.8 of 5

Should be five stars but.....

I am happy about the quality, it looks and feels a touch of luxury in my modern and fairly minimalist home. The colour was described as white but is really beige. It still works with my white walls and bamboo wood floor, but I would have preferred it in a grey shade of white rather than a brownish shade of white. Drop a half point as I know how difficult colour description can be. The carpet was well protected with plastic and strong bands, but had been folded for a long time and was tightly packed. I am struggling to persuade it to lie flat, I had it upside down for a couple of days, and also trying steam but the folded ridges are very obvious still. A Pity it was not rolled rather than folded. Another half point down, so four stars rather than the five which the carpet itself probably deserves.

Precise and efficient handling of the order and shipping were all perfect. Also, your policy on communication is very good for us, the new-commers as your customers. Quality of the runner (Afgan) was exactly as we expected. I want to be your customer for a long time.

Superb efficiency in service - absolutely outstanding quality of communication throughout the entire process. Wonderful detail on the website so that you know what you are buying. The actual carpet precisely matches the description. Exquisite quality carpet - in design and workmanship it really is a work of art. It should be on the wall but we have no space. Soon there will be no space on the floor since we have just ordered another carpet from CarpetVista. Pricing policy is fair, reasonable and absolotely appropriate for the quality of the product. CarpetVista could serve as a model of clarity, efficiency, and quality of service for many other online sales companies.

Specifications

Carpet ID AXVZH49
Knot density approx 490 000 knots per m²

You can easily calculate the knot density yourself by counting the number of knots 1 cm down and 1 cm across, and then multiplying these numbers together. Then multiply the total by 10,000 to give the number of knots per m².

Some carpet sellers exaggerate the knot density, so to be sure that you are comparing like for like when it comes to price, it is worth checking the knot density yourself. Most of CarpetVista’s carpets have a photograph of the reverse with a ruler, making it easy to examine the knot quality and count the exact knot density before choosing your carpet.

Pile Silk
Silk is one of the strongest natural fibers available. Silk can be used to accentuate details in woolen rugs and in more exclusive rugs, silk can make up the entire pile and sometimes even the warp. Refined rugs with rich details can only be made using silk as other fibers are too thick for the purpose. Silk has a smooth, soft and lustrous texture with a natural beauty and sheen.
Warp Cotton
Manufacturing Knotted by hand
Elaborate weaving technique with specialized artisans tying knots to form rows of pile either by cutting each individual knot or an entire row of knots. Hand-knotting takes time and also allows for intricate patterns.
Also known as Kaschmir, Kashmiri, Cashmere, Kashmere, Cachemire
Size 297x389

This carpet is hand knotted/woven; therefore, difference in shape, thickness, pattern and sizes can occur. This applies particularly to nomadic and village carpets.

Kashmir pure silk carpet from India.

Kashmir silk carpets are hand-knotted in India, and are modelled on traditional Persian carpets. The oriental patterns in the carpets consist partly of medallions and repeating patters, but with the typical garden motif. The carpets are very high quality and thanks to the choice of material of silk, they are thin and light, with a beautiful shimmering lustre. Using silk also makes detailed patterns possible and the precision in the work behind the carpet is impressive. These beautiful Kashmir carpets in silk would give any room a lift and you're getting a lot of carpet for your money.
