Mateja Skofic & Irena Gubanc

Irena Gubanc, lives and works in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. In 2001, she graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts (department of visual communication), in the field of corporate identity and museum Exhibition posters. After graduation she worked in design agencies. Presently she is a freelance designer and illustrator with the status of the Ministry of Culture. She is also a member of the Designers Society of Slovenia.
Mateja Škofič is also from Ljubljana (Slovenia). She is finishing her master`s degree from Graphic and interactive communication at Faculty of natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana.
The designers started working together in 2009 when Mateja joined Irena to work with her on a project from which many other followed. From designing postal stamps, logotypes, corporal identities, posters, brochures, books, to designing exhibitions and interactive media. Beside graphic design the designers are working a large amount on Illustration with the emphasis on vector Illustration which also reflects in their designs.
They frequently participate and exhibit in Slovene and international graphic shows and competitions where they also received awards.
Because there was an increasing amount of joint projects and good collaboration they decided to start their own studio which they named Padalci (Parachutists).
