Rebecca Elfast

My name is Rebecca Elfast, I live and work in Gothenburg, Sweden. I am a freelance, working in the related fields of illustration, pattern design, architecture, 3d and art.
Ideas meet me everywhere. I never leave home without a sketchbook in my handbag.
Nature is an endless source of inspiration, which shows both in my painting and my pattern design. A cornucopia of shapes, patterns and palettes. People, everyday situations, moods, travel, books and music are things that also spark my creativity.
I do a lot of my work on the computer, since it’s a flexible and powerful tool. But it’s important to me that the work is not too stiff and clinical, you must feel that the human hand has been there. An early sketch that dissolves as the work progresses, or hand-drawn lines, watercolor and ink elements altogether visible in the final result.
