The work represents the typical texture of the Italian streets, made of lava stone blocks, called "Sanpietrini". The design is characterized by solids and voids between the joints and stones. The abstraction of elements and the color variation emphasize the geometry.

L’opera rappresenta la tipica trama delle strade italiane, fatta di blocchetti di pietra lavica chiamati “Sanpietrini”. Il disegno è scandito dal gioco di pieni e vuoti tra le fughe e la pietra. L’astrazione degli elementi permette la variazione cromatica sul tema e ne enfatizza la geometria.

About Danila Bausano

Danila Bausano was born in Naples, in 1988. She studied Architecture between Federico II University in Naples and Technische Universität in Munich, where she currently lives and works. In 2014 she began her professional career as a planner, combining passion for graphic, craft and interior design with her architectural work.

Danila Bausano è nata a Napoli, nel 1988. Ha studiato architettura tra l’Università Federico II di Napoli e la Technische Universität di Monaco di Baviera, dove attualmente vive e lavora. Nel 2014 inizia la sua carriera professionale come progettista, affiancando il suo interesse per la grafica, l’artigianato e l’interior design alla sua attività lavorativa.

Excellent Service and Products
I wanted to reserve a carpet as I was abroad when I made my choice and there was only 1 left. I was able to telephone and speak to a very helpful lady who arranged for the carpet to be delivered 2 days after my return 3 weeks later. A week later, I chose another one with a 10% further discount for buying again and that arrived promptly also after another discussion with another helpful lady. I now have 2 fabulous rugs at a very decent price. Yes, the 'Handloom Fringe' carpet is shedding where one sits but I well remember a fitted carpet shedding for 6 months prior to stopping. So I hope it will stop eventually. DPD deliver promptly.
