This carpet is knotted in the city of Zanjan in northern Iran. The carpet is generally colourful and the wool is of good quality. The patterns in the carpet is often geometrical with a centrally placed diamond medallion stretching from the top to the bottom. The carpet is worth its price and is part of the group of Hamadan carpets.
