Silk sari carpets are an innovative and eco-friendly way of creating new carpets.
Each carpet is a unique work of art that can either be used as a decorative wall accessory or admired as a fashionable floor covering.
The carpets are made from recycled silk saris in a process that can take well over half a year to complete. The silk sari strands are completely unraveled before being re-spun and hand-knotted into a carpet. The result is a vibrant mix of warm colours combined to form bold, new intricate patterns. The perfect way of spicing up any room or setting in which they are placed.
Silk is one of the strongest natural fibers available. Silk can be used to accentuate details in woolen rugs and in more exclusive rugs, silk can make up the entire pile and sometimes even the warp. Refined rugs with rich details can only be made using silk as other fibers are too thick for the purpose. Silk has a smooth, soft and lustrous texture with a natural beauty and sheen.
We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health
