The Tuteshk carpets come from a small village that shares the same name and lies between the city of Nain and Isfahan in central Iran. These very special carpets from Tuteshk are a very rare find on the market and most often fall under the category of semi-antique to antique. The inspiration for their design is mostly drawn from the more well known Nain carpets and are often slightly darker in tone. The Tuteshks are a very high quality carpet with a high knot density, making them a very sought after piece by collectors from all over the world.
Wool is a natural textile fibre and one of the most sought after materials for rug making. Wool rugs are highly durable and perfectly capable of resisting wear and tear of every day use. Wool has a naturally dirt-repelling effect and is easy to keep clean. It is also flame resistant and characteristically retains it’s shape so that the pile of the rug always rises.
