Information about Kilim carpet from Persia / Iran.
The Kilim is a flat woven carpet that is woven by nomads in the south of Persia. They use a special technique when weaving, giving the carpet a thinner and cover-like quality. The kilims are also made faster than an ordinary Oriental carpet. Their pattern are traditional, stair-like and the carpet is suitable for hanging on walls.
