You can easily calculate the knot density yourself by counting the number of knots 1 cm down and 1 cm across, and then multiplying these numbers together. Then multiply the total by 10,000 to give the number of knots per m². This carpet is knotted in central Persia. The carpet with a high quality usually have medallion patterns with floral fields, but variations occur. The patterns from the Keshan carpet is often used as originals for machine manufactured carpets. The Keshan carpet is represented in most European courts.
