Happy Customer

The process of ordering up to delivery was excellent. And the rug arrived in excellent condition. The colours of the rug turned out a bit lighter than they appeared on my Mac, but that’s to be expected and no surprise, as colours often are different in reality. The only thing that was slightly negative, was the time it took one of the representatives to come back to me on some initial questions I had. The follow-up questions were timeously answered, but I had to wait a couple of days before I had the first response. If I urgently needed a rug, I may have gone elsewhere, not having received a reply. With that said and done, it remained an all-in-all a great experience!

Specifications

Carpet ID MSA8
Knot density approx 360 000 knots per m²

You can easily calculate the knot density yourself by counting the number of knots 1 cm down and 1 cm across, and then multiplying these numbers together. Then multiply the total by 10,000 to give the number of knots per m².

Some carpet sellers exaggerate the knot density, so to be sure that you are comparing like for like when it comes to price, it is worth checking the knot density yourself. Most of CarpetVista’s carpets have a photograph of the reverse with a ruler, making it easy to examine the knot quality and count the exact knot density before choosing your carpet.

Pile Silk
Silk is one of the strongest natural fibers available. Silk can be used to accentuate details in woolen rugs and in more exclusive rugs, silk can make up the entire pile and sometimes even the warp. Refined rugs with rich details can only be made using silk as other fibers are too thick for the purpose. Silk has a smooth, soft and lustrous texture with a natural beauty and sheen.
Warp Cotton
Manufacturing Knotted by hand
Elaborate weaving technique with specialized artisans tying knots to form rows of pile either by cutting each individual knot or an entire row of knots. Hand-knotting takes time and also allows for intricate patterns.
Also known as Kaschmir, Kashmiri, Cashmere, Kashmere, Cachemire
Size 278x374

This carpet is hand knotted/woven; therefore, difference in shape, thickness, pattern and sizes can occur. This applies particularly to nomadic and village carpets.

Kashmir pure silk pictorial carpet from India.

Kashmir silk carpets are hand-knotted in India, and are modelled on traditional Persian carpets. The oriental patterns in the carpets consist partly of medallions and repeating patters, but with the typical garden motif. The carpets are very high quality and thanks to the choice of material of silk, they are thin and light, with a beautiful shimmering lustre. Using silk also makes detailed patterns possible and the precision in the work behind the carpet is impressive. These beautiful Kashmir carpets in silk would give any room a lift and you're getting a lot of carpet for your money.
