Since 2010 I am a practicing artist in the Netherlands. I am an illustrator, painter and tutor at the Academy in Amsterdam. At this moment I am very engaged with topics as: Climate change, Refugees and Sustainability. This design shows harvested plastics with GPS coordinates as follows: 55° 27′ 59.0364”N 6° 21′ 17.7804” E.

Self-taught multi-artist from Vindeln, a small community in northern Sweden. I have mostly devoted myself to watercolor painting and have previously exhibited locally and, among other things, painted paintings for Hjältarnas Hus in Umeå. With inspiration from the 70’s comes this poppy color click. Soft and lovely pattern with spring colors.

I studied product design at Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and used to work for almost 3 years at Studio Ganszyniec where I was responsible for product and furniture design. Now I work as a freelancer, based in Warsaw. The design is a tribute to the postmodern architecture of Ricardo Bofill, with intense, strong, contrasting patches of color.

This design is a flirtation with the happy 20s which is clearly visible in the pattern and the color green is a symbol of a healthy planet.

Her diversified portfolio includes projects in architecture, design, painting, and installations. You say wool? I say sheep … Natural soft colors.

I have a master’s in fine arts in textile design from the Swedish school of Textiles in Sweden. I am also a painter. I explore expressions through abstract expressionism using intuition. Working with a wide range of material and techniques. I have composed a pattern based on geometrical shapes and movement in color.

How we selected the finalists 2022

This year we received over 5 500 fantastic submissions. To say the least, it has been a daunting task to select the 28 finalists. The jury based their selection on design skills, uniqueness and aesthetics.

NICKLAS JANSSON
Co-Founder / CEO, Rumrum AB

Nicklas Jansson has a background in advertising and marketing and together with Magnus Andersson he opened the furniture store Rumrum in 1997. The interest and inquiries within interior design and concepts developed into their own furniture production, which was noticed and sold both in the Nordics and internationally. With a growing number of clients, Rumrum became a pure design agency with a focus on interior design concepts and is a total supplier of furniture and lighting. Rumrum is today one of the largest interior design agencies in Skåne with increasing assignments in Copenhagen and Stockholm.

LISA HILLAND
Designer

Lisa Hilland creates contemporary design with a poetic twist, combining modern high-tech production techniques with quality craftsmanship. Her current clients includes Konsthantverk, IKEA, Gärsnäs, Gemla, Design House Stockholm and Svenskt Tenn. “As a designer, natural materials are close to her heart, and Lisa is using them in a careful, sustainable way, creating long lasting design”.

Eva works as CEO of Edblad & Co AB, a company that offers Swedish-designed jewelry with high quality at an affordable price level. She has many years of experience in leading and developing consumer trading companies in digitalization, branding and international success with internationally strong brands such as Gant, Filippa K and L’Oréal.

BEATRICE PERLMAN EWERT
Former Rugvista Sustainability manager

Beatrice has many years of experience working with sustainability in the textile industry and is currently working with the integration of sustainability into the business of one of the world’s largest online carpet stores. With a background from purchasing & design at international fashion companies, she has a large passion for finding commercially attractive products that take into account both its environmental and social impact.
