Sarough carpet | This carpet is knotted in a large area surrounding the village of Sarough in the western parts of central Persia. The carpet, often red or blue, is manufactured with a number of different patterns, but often have a centrally placed medallion and a distinct defined border. The wool used is of high quality and treated to lustre and the carpet is thick and durable.
