This carpet is knotted in the city of Meshkinshar in the Heriz area in northeastern Persia, near the Caucasian border. The carpet is often in the size of runners with bold Caucasian inspired geometrical patterns, often in violet-red. The carpet is beautiful and sturdy knotted.
