Kerman carpet

This carpet is knotted in workshops in the city of Kerman in southeastern Persia. A large number of carpets are sold to the courts around the world. The ground colour is often red, and the pattern is dominated by a large medallion and a wide border filled with flowers.

The foundation "Sherkat Farsh" was founded about 70 years ago. The purpose with the foundation was to uphold the traditions of the Persian carpet culture and to maintain the quality in the country's carpet production.
