Information about Gabbeh/Kashkooli carpet DD339 from Persia / Iran. This carpet is knotted by nomads and semi-nomadic Ghashghais in southwestern Iran. The carpet is known for their primitive, naive patterns with rustic charm. The nomads get their inspiration from the environment around them, which gives a modern and exciting carpet. The wool is generally of good quality.
A Gabbeh Kashkooli has a higher knot density and a shorter pile than other Gabbeh carpets.
