Ardebil carpet | This carpet is knotted in the province of Azerbadjan in northwestern Persia. The pattern in the carpet has geometrical motifs with influences from Caucasian groups. The carpet is thin, durable and beautiful in a bold, slightly primitive way. Nowadays the major part of the production consists of runners.
